The name came 2nd to the talent, which was worked on long and hard before Mr. Woo established himself in the U.S. Mr. Woo has the Pop Rock, R&B, and Hip Hop sound, mixed in with his own personal style. With his energetic personality, he has a way of making the artists feel at ease, and therefore, bringing out the best in them through his astounding patience and skill. His reputation was built up from sheer hard work and hunger to succeed.
In 2003, he came back to the UK, where within the first 6 months, he got a publishing deal with N2 Records (part of the BMG group), and in less than a year, word spread to the likes of:
double-platinum pop group: Liberty X (V2), Big Brovaz (Sony UK), Terri Walker (Mercury), Le Le & Kelly Brian (Eternal). He also has a passion for the old school soul; he has been working on tracks with the great Loose Endz, and he has also done remixing for PM Dawn.
Recently, in the last couple years, Mr. Woo has had much success around the world, with 5 music videos and singles being released, ranging from Russian pop stars directed by world-renowned music video director Joseph Kahn to having the 1 Video on MTV UK from UK's own Street Politiks. Mr. Woo is now in negotiations to having several of his artists perform live at the Olympics 2008 in Beijing, China. He has also teamed with Destiny's Child producer Rob Fusari and Jones, singer/songwriter from Sweden signed to a major publisher. It appears that they will be a major force in the music industry.
Mr. Woo can work to the exact specification asked of him – he has a gift that enables him to listen with concentration, but most important, he is not afraid of criticism. He has the ability to work from one end of the music spectrum to the other, from Hip Hop and R&B to Pop Rock. He has always broadened his spectrum to leave himself open to anything. Always room for improvement is something he holds close to him – guided by a sharp intuition and a humble lifestyle and outlook, makes Mr. Woo not only a very exciting addition to the industry today, but also a very open minded “chameleon” of music. This phenomenal talent is something not to be missed. |
